Anyone else find it easier to love God “with all your heart” than it is to trust God with the actual details of your everyday life?! 🤷🏼♀️
Yeah me too. I want him to drive the car, answer my prayers, lead me and guide me … UNTIL we take an unexpected turn, the scenery changes or I am uncomfortable with the speed we are going. (Hint: it’s normally too slow.) 😆
Not sure he and I always have the same idea of the best way to get places … in fact we have disagreed many times. So much so that many times I have even taken the keys back and determined to do things my own way. 🤦🏼♀️
He never fights me on it. He just lets me go. And it never seems to work out so I come back, sometimes humbled and honestly sometimes annoyed. But he never makes me pay or feel bad. He just takes the keys and we get back on the road. ❤️
So I’ve come to the conclusion I’d rather off-road with Jesus at the wheel then drive myself down the smooth and easy road any day. (I just need to remind myself of that sometimes – ie: today)
